Key recommendations included moving from air basin-level analysis to census tract-level resolution to better identify exposure disparities, and utilizing two-way combinations of sociodemographic subgroups to improve understanding of health risks.

The workshop focused on proposed administrative amendments to the air cleaner regulation, specifically regarding the clarification of definitions, test standards, and compliance and enforcement sections. Participants discussed the potential for updating definitions of electronic air cleaning devices and addressed inquiries regarding the consistency of regulatory requirements for in-room versus in-device systems. The Board confirmed that it is not currently lowering ozone emission standards and invited stakeholders to submit additional comments and suggestions to assist in drafting future regulatory documents.
