Its goals include the preservation and enhancement of the natural environment, improvement of air quality, maintenance of attainment area status, and reduction of climate impacts. This Action Plan, developed by the Northeast Arkansas Regional Transportation Planning Commission, aims to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries within Craighead County, Arkansas. The plan outlines key areas of focus including regional crash analysis, identification of critical crash corridors, and recommendations for potential countermeasures. The overarching objective is to achieve a steady annual decline in regional fatalities, contributing to the broader goal of zero fatalities.
