The meeting included updates on the partnership between CPS, the Police Department, and YPAC for the Carver Cares Community Coalition, as well as comments from the EAPC regarding the need for YPAC funding and concerns about teacher workload. The Student Advisory provided updates on Student Council activities and upcoming events. The Superintendent provided personnel updates, a report on the 2014 Summer Program, and outlined goals for the upcoming year, including professional practice, student achievement, and district improvement. There were discussions on Elementary and Middle High School opening and closing times, facilities updates, and a transportation report. The Building Committee reported on the selection of an Owners Project Manager (OPM).

The School Improvement Plan for Carver Elementary School for 2025-2026 focuses on cultivating empowered learning and responsible citizenship. Key strategic objectives include supporting safe schools by addressing students' physical, social, emotional, and behavioral needs, enhancing teaching and learning through exceptional instruction and collaborative action, engaging the community by fostering relationships with parents and community members, and collaborating with leadership in policy and funding to strategically support the school community and ensure high student achievement.

The school committee meeting included the introduction of a new School Resource Officer, updates from the Student Advisory Council & Captain's Council, and a presentation on the district-wide technology budget. The committee discussed the creation of a regional virtual learning academy and personnel updates. There was also a facilities update, discussion of the use of the Building Revolving Fund for Elementary School Site Studies, and an update on communications to families. The committee also discussed strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation and preparation for negotiations with non-union personnel.
