The Shape SSF 2040 General Plan is a comprehensive blueprint for the City of South San Francisco, outlining its vision and strategic direction through the year 2040. Released in February 2022, it provides a roadmap to create a resilient community, improve residents' quality of life, and expand economic development opportunities. Key pillars include fostering complete neighborhoods, ensuring diverse and affordable housing options, nurturing a thriving economy, improving multimodal mobility, preserving parks and open spaces, providing equitable community services, enhancing community health and environmental justice, and addressing climate protection and environmental stewardship. The plan's overarching vision is to enable a city where everyone can thrive, characterized by high quality of life, diversity, livability, innovation, and environmental leadership.

The meeting included a presentation on the Flood Resilience Scorecard by Save The Bay, detailing its use as a tool for cities to complete Regional Shoreline Plans, emphasizing nature-based solutions. The Committee approved the draft February 20, 2025, meeting minutes with a correction to the attendance record. An action item involved approving the recommendation for C/CAG's Duly Authorized Representative to certify and submit the SMCWPPP Water Year 2024 Urban Creeks Monitoring Report. Information sessions covered the upcoming June 30, 2025, deadline for 100% trash reduction requirements under the Municipal Regional Permit (MRP), including consequences like Notices of Non-compliance or Cease and Desist Orders for noncompliant municipalities. Updates were also provided on stormwater cost reporting requirements due in September 2025, the CASQA 2025 Call for Abstracts, and the implications of the Supreme Court ruling in City and County of San Francisco v. The Board Meeting agenda included several Consent Agenda items for review and approval. Informational items included an annual update from the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) detailing 2025 priorities like regulatory advocacy and stormwater funding needs, as well as a presentation on a proposed budget amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Stormwater Program Budget, primarily addressing a $510,000 correction for general MRP compliance support. The Regional Board representative provided updates on the review of annual reports and the planned communication of feedback to municipalities by the end of March.

The San Mateo Countywide Transportation Plan Update, a joint effort by C/CAG and SMCTA, aims to define a vision for the future of transportation in San Mateo County through 2050. The plan sets priorities and guides decision-making for local and regional improvements, focusing on key outcomes such as anticipating changes through pilot programs, advancing equity in funding decisions, strategizing multi-level funding, measuring the health of the transportation system, and presenting a practical plan for partners.
