The board agenda includes a call to order, a declaration of potential conflict of interest, employee recognition, administrative actions, and a period for public comments. Additionally, the board will review public comments or questions, consider items for a consent calendar, address other matters brought forward by the commissioners, and hold a session for general community announcements.

The Budget Committee addressed the Information Technology budget breakdown and received public comments regarding law enforcement funding, marijuana industry regulation, and union salary increases. The committee debated and approved salary increases for the Clerk and the Sheriff. Furthermore, the committee voted to approve the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year, including various amendments for economic development, community corrections, sheriff patrol, and veterans services, as well as adjustments to public health and the assessor's office. Finally, the committee established the property tax levy for general government, animal shelter operations, and jail/detention services.

The board meeting agenda focused on the selection of a Chair and the establishment of a process for appointing individuals to Josephine County Commissioner Positions 1 and 2. Key discussion topics included determining the timeline for appointments, considering the need for a new application deadline, defining the contents of the application, and the approval of official vacancy postings.

The meeting included discussions on the payment of GPID assessments for county real property and the approval of an invoice for Southern Oregon Sanitation. An executive session was scheduled to discuss matters regarding county real property, followed by a discussion on the appointment of a commercial real estate broker for county property and other subject matter brought forward by the commissioners.

The board discussed the potential sale of the Dimmick Campus property, a rate increase for the Kerby Transfer Station, and a demand letter from Evergreen Bank. Additionally, the board addressed the petition to withdraw from the Josephine County Community Library District, discussed the recruitment for a Public Information Officer, reviewed fee change requests for the Community Development department, and evaluated improvements to the economic development application process. Numerous grant and service contract amendments were approved related to the Behavioral Health Deflection Grant Program and Family Treatment Court services. The board also appointed a liaison for the Worksource Oregon committee.
