The meeting included updates on the new District website, highlights from the Superintendent including enrollment, school lunch week activities, school bus safety week, WSBA annual conference, internet upgrades, sponsorship of assemblies, farm to school day, Sources of Strength Training, Chamber enterprises meeting and COPE program, a donated bus to the DARE program, and an upcoming community meeting. Trustee reports covered topics such as the loss of a student, board goals, the stagecoach reading program, a proposed book study, the WSBA webinars and Annual Conference, better community communication, the Foundation upcoming winter gala, recreation board updates on playground equipment, updates on the food insecurities committee meeting, a movie option after the homecoming dance, the CCC meeting, new SATs, beyond textbook training, growth in WYTOPP scores, 9th grade academy, and teacher efficacy. The board also discussed school improvement plans, a 20-year facilities plan, and the sources of strength program. Public comments were heard regarding Policy JFLC, WYO Prep Curriculum, Securely, parent teacher conferences, the WSBA workshop, a book called Title 21, public records requests, and sources of strength in schools. The board also discussed legal and personnel matters in executive session. The board approved the consent agenda items, the RFP for an asset identification system, the Sweetwater County School District #1 Facilities Plan, district warrants and release of payments, personnel recommendations and Policy KD (Public Participation at Board Meetings).
