The board conducted a 2027 budget adoption hearing and addressed utility disconnection procedures. The primary discussion involved concerns raised by local business owners regarding an upcoming race event. Topics included the lack of communication from organizers to affected property owners, accessibility to business properties during the event, insurance and liability coverage, and the overall management of the race. The board clarified that while they approved the event, it is organized and managed by an outside group, and they committed to addressing these concerns and potential process improvements for future events.
