The plan aims to empower students through rigorous instruction, supportive environments, and meaningful partnerships, with specific metrics to measure progress in test scores, attendance, disciplinary incidents, and family participation.

The Wilson School Board meeting included communications from the Wilson Theater Company's production of Matilda. Committee reports included student outreach, teaching and learning, human resources, public relations, and additional board member appointment reports. The board discussed payment of bills and the superintendent's report, which covered personnel and program recommendations, including changes in status, retirements, resignations, leave of absences, and extracurricular appointments. The board also ratified and approved field trips, consent items, student services, technology and media, operations, teaching and learning, and early learning. Policies were discussed, and there was a period for public participation on non-agenda items.

The plan emphasizes increasing stakeholder voice and celebrating successes through various communication channels. Specific initiatives include implementing a new employee onboarding program, strengthening MTSS processes, improving security infrastructure, managing budget with stakeholder input, overseeing construction projects, and enhancing district-wide communication.

The Student Services Committee meeting reviewed minutes from previous meetings, discussed agenda items, and addressed various topics including counseling, special education, policy reviews, staffing, registration and enrollment, safety and security, and medical consultation agreements. Specific items discussed included data results from a senior sprint, an RFP for a full-time therapeutic ES program, policy revisions related to weapons, terroristic threats, and bullying, staffing updates, new positions, and department changes. Discussions also covered residency and change of address processes, kindergarten registration, safety and security measures, and special education matters. Mental health initiatives, including grant awards and partnerships with external providers, were also reviewed. Finally, the committee reviewed and updated various policies and procedures.
