Commissioner Court of Howard County Regular Session
The Court addressed various administrative and financial matters, including several approvals related to the Library Renovation Project, such as change orders and payment requests. The Court also authorized applications for library grants and the 2027 Texas Indigent Defense Grant. Personnel considerations and numerous purchase requests for various county departments—including the Sheriff's Office, Tax Office, and Jail—were approved. Furthermore, the Court moved forward with professional services for drainage and flood plain planning, approved roadway maintenance re-bidding, and authorized an air distribution system repair bid. During an executive session, the Court approved a request for outside legal counsel and the creation of a new Fleet Manager position.
