Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District Early Literacy Remediation Plan
This document outlines the Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District's Early Literacy Remediation Plan. Developed in response to Wisconsin's Act 20 (2023), it details supports for students in grades 5K-3 performing below the 25th percentile on reading readiness assessments, encompassing a Universal Approach to Instruction, a Strategic Early Literacy Assessment System, Student Supports (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions), Family and Community Engagement, and Strategic Use of Data. The plan aims to foster a love of reading and writing, equip students with essential literacy skills, ensure literacy growth, and prepare them to thrive academically, socially, and as engaged citizens by building a foundation in phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
