The council discussed the postponement of a new liquor license application for an event complex, pending further investigation by the building and fire departments, as well as the planning commission, regarding permits and occupancy. The council also approved the collective recording of fourteen Community Reinvestment Area tax abatement certificates. Additionally, three ordinances were adopted: one correcting a clerical formula error in the budget, another authorizing an agreement with the Lake County Board of Commissioners for the Urban Entitlement Community Development Block Grant Program, and a third reducing the street lighting assessment millage from 1.15 to 1.0 mills.
