The City Council meeting featured a presentation on the findings from the National Community Survey. The commission reviewed Case 26 P 03 regarding a conditional use permit for a planned unit development located at 933 Riverside Drive. An updated site plan presentation was provided in response to prior feedback, and public testimony was heard before the public hearing was closed. The commission moved to deliberate on the case at a future scheduled meeting.

The committee discussed comprehensive text amendments for the Zoning chapter of the city code, focusing on generator enclosures for data centers, home occupation vehicle limits, variation standards, reporting timeframes for the Zoning and Planning Commission, townhouse design standards, power walls, and window wells and stoops. The committee requested additional information from staff to continue these discussions at a later date.

The committee meeting addressed several infrastructure and procurement topics. Key discussions included an update on the McMaster-Carr Lease Agreement, the approval of a report for professional engineering services for the Addison Creek Streambank Stabilization project, and the authorization of the 2026 Aggregate Material Supply Contract. Additionally, the committee approved agreements for the removal of excavated materials and authorized storm sewer cleaning and televising services for both Illinois Route 83 and general 2026 projects. The meeting also included public comments regarding fencing concerns and provided updates on construction project referrals.

The meeting included the administration of oaths of office to three police personnel who were recently promoted to the ranks of sergeant, commander, and deputy chief of police. Additionally, a proclamation was presented to St. Peter's United Church of Christ in honor of its 150th anniversary.
