The Flemington-Raritan Regional School District's five-year Strategic Plan (2023-2028) provides a framework for district decision-making, focusing on five strategic goals. These goals include providing academic excellence for all students, developing multi-tiered systems for emotional and mental health support, fostering unified community outreach and engagement, attracting and retaining high-quality staff, and ensuring adequate budgeting for finance and facilities needs.

The Board conducted a workshop to discuss goals regarding communication procedures and the definition of leadership expectations, values, and norms, which may include establishing a Board Governance Committee. Additionally, an update was provided on the Superintendent search, and the Board resolved to move into executive session to discuss school security matters.

The Board convened for a retreat focused on professional development. Key discussion topics included a review of the Board's self-evaluation regarding strengths and areas for improvement, a workshop on 2023-2024 Board goals, and a discussion on 2024-2025 District and Board goals. Additionally, the Board reviewed and sought consensus on revisions to existing Board norms.

The board meeting included the recognition of retiring staff members and the presentation of the Superintendent of the Year award to Dr. Kari McGann. The Superintendent provided an update on student enrollment numbers and class size analysis. The personnel committee presented updates on holiday calendars and staff hiring processes. Multiple personnel actions were approved, including resignations, new appointments for the upcoming school year, staff transfers, and extra compensation for class coverage and summer programs. Additionally, the board approved rates for substitute positions for the 2023-2024 school year and authorized specific instructional contracts for summer programs.

This document outlines the Comprehensive Equity Plan for the Flemington-Raritan Regional School District for the 2025-2028 period. Developed by an Affirmative Action Team, the plan addresses board responsibilities, staff development, and school practices to ensure educational equity. It focuses on identifying and preventing prejudice, discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying; ensuring equitable access to all facilities, activities, and programs; and promoting equal educational opportunities for all students. The plan also details the roles of the Affirmative Action Officer and team in its implementation, data collection, and ongoing assessment.
