The council received presentations regarding a retirement proclamation for a volunteer firefighter, an upcoming community trash-off event, an annual rabies clinic, and the city's final independent audit for the fiscal year ending in 2025. The council acted upon the final audit, authorizing grant applications for Operation Stonegarden and the Operation Lone Star grant program. Additionally, the council awarded a proposal for the replacement of electronic message center displays, approved a consumer price index adjustment for telecommunications right-of-way access line rates, and authorized a utility easement agreement for a development project.

The board conducted a Budget and Operation Workshop for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026. The City Manager presented recommendations and solicited feedback from the Mayor and Council members regarding proposed projects.

The council held a budget workshop for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2027. This session included a request from the Executive Director of the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce for additional operational funding and salary increases, which was discussed for feedback purposes only. Additionally, the City Manager provided recommendations and sought input regarding proposed projects.

The meeting included a public hearing regarding a specific-use permit for a manufactured mobile home. The Council discussed an ordinance amendment related to zoning for manufactured homes and a resolution to authorize the retirement of a K-9 police officer and transfer his ownership. Presentations were held regarding new K-9 officers, a convention and visitor's bureau report, a convention center report, and an economic development corporation report. Regular business items included extending the solicitation deadline for medical insurance plan RFPs, accepting a donation for the recreation department, and an executive session to discuss legal matters concerning an agreement with BioCatters, LLC.

The board meeting agenda includes the review of financial reports provided by the Chief Financial Officer and the evaluation of the monthly recreation report from the Recreation Director. Additionally, the board will discuss the acceptance of a $1500 donation from Crescent Energy Finance, LLC and review the rules governing the Texas Open Meetings Act.
