The board meeting covered several institutional items, including the approval of the FY27 miscellaneous fee, tuition, and tuition waiver schedules. Discussions included opportunities for ECEAP expansion, a budget revision for the Head Start nutrition supplement, and a biannual Head Start program report. Reports were delivered by the Interim President, the Associated Students of LCC, faculty and staff associations, and other leadership members, highlighting enrollment growth, new program accreditations, and successful fundraising initiatives. The Board also reviewed the Preparation for College-Level Studies Monitoring Report, conferred Faculty Emeritus status, discussed the FY25 audited financial statements, initiated planning for a presidential search, and approved a rescheduling of the July board workshop. Additionally, revisions to Board policies regarding executive constraints and the treatment of people were approved.

The board meeting included updates from the President, Vice Presidents of instruction, student access, and administration, and the executive director of the student association regarding enrollment growth, facilities projects, and campus initiatives. Key actions included the election of board officers for the 2026-2028 term and the granting of tenure to four faculty members. The board also received reports on classified staff bargaining preparations and recent student athletic achievements.

The board held a special executive session to review probationary materials for faculty tenure candidates and to discuss the performance of a public employee. Additionally, the board approved an addendum to the Interim President's contract.

The Board of Trustees held a special meeting to conduct an executive session for the purpose of receiving and evaluating complaints against a public officer or employee, reviewing the performance of a public employee, and discussing legal matters. Following the executive session, the Board voted unanimously to terminate the employment contract of the college president for convenience.

The board meeting included the approval of several Head Start, Early Head Start, and ECEAP program items, such as the continuation grant, budget, strategic plan update, and selection criteria. The Board granted tenure to several faculty members following executive sessions. The President provided a report on budget challenges, national faculty conference presentations, and upcoming academic master planning. Other discussions covered campus emergency preparedness, enrollment and retention efforts, sexual violence campus survey preparation, ASLCC event planning, accreditation focus areas, and a status update on the ctcLink software conversion project. Additionally, the Board conducted the election of officers for the upcoming term.
