York University Chapel
The event was the York University Homecoming Chapel, which commenced with a period of worship, including singing songs such as 'Oh, hail the power of Jesus name.' Following the musical segment, a prayer was offered, expressing thankfulness for the opportunity to reunite with friends and colleagues and dedicating the time to recommitment and service. The main address was delivered by Dr. Timothy Westbrook, the President, who spoke about continuity during a period of transition for the university, referencing Joshua Chapter 1 to encourage strength and courage in fulfilling the mission of Christ-centered education. Key themes included the importance of daily chapel, Bible classes, and maintaining the university's mission as it transitions from York College to York University. The service concluded with a performance by the York University Singers.
