CCSJ Charter Authority Special Meeting
The meeting was convened to address significant operational concerns regarding Thea Bowman Leadership Academy. The Authority reviewed and discussed a prepared letter requiring the academy's board to undertake corrective action to restructure within a 15-day compliance window, with the warning that failure to comply would result in non-renewal of their charter. The discussion included the potential for two recently joined board members to remain and help re-populate the academy's board, as they were not implicated in the concerning behavioral patterns.
