The meeting included discussions on the use of funds for student lunches versus sporting events and the approval of various donations to Swiss Hills Career Center FFA, Woodsfield Elementary, and Skyvue Elementary. The board also approved district graduation dates for the 2025-2026 school year, disposal of outdated materials, several field trips, and a MOU from Franklin University. Additional approvals were given for invoices from Strategic Solutions and The American Light Company, a contract with Ohio Valley ESC for Blue Sky Virtual Academy, and financial statements. New business included discussions and approvals for a Swiss Hills Career Center Heavy Equipment student activity account, a Polaris Ranger purchase, a TRANE service agreement, a purchase from SAVVAS Learning Company, a GRIT MOU with Future Plans, repairs at Skyvue, and a Ford Transit Mobility Passenger Van purchase. The board also discussed and approved personnel items, supplementals, and K12 Learning Contracts.

The Switzerland of Ohio Local Board of Education held a regular meeting covering various topics. Public participation included updates on LifeWise and discussions regarding the closing of Beallsville High School. The Superintendent's Report included information on early placement and a pre-application for an ARC Grant. The board approved several donations, disposal of outdated materials, a purchase for HUDL Services, district skills training, board policy, class intent forms and financial statements. Discussions and approvals were made regarding district purchases and renewals, including seal coating for Skyvue Elementary's parking area, Amplify renewal, Explorelearning, Greenfield Learning Renewal, PaySchools renewal, a Delta Dental fund increase, new computers and chromebooks, an OMERESA Member Services Agreement, and a Southeast Healthcare payment. Additionally, there was an executive session to consider personnel matters, followed by approvals of administrative employment, resignations, contract non-renewals, and various supplemental positions.

The Switzerland of Ohio Local Board of Education held a special meeting to discuss and act on several key items. These included the potential purchase of a greenhouse for Powhatan Elementary, student teaching observation hours at Monroe Central High School, HUDL Services for Monroe Central High School, and the renewal of the district's Really Great Reading program. The board also addressed treasurer's items, such as transfers, amended certificates, appropriations, and estimated revenue. An executive session was held to discuss personnel matters, followed by approvals for certificated summer camp staff, classified staff, and other personnel items.

The District Parent Advisory Council meeting in May 2021 covered parent involvement activities during the 2020-21 school year, including the review and adoption of the Parent Involvement Policy, Parent/Student/Teacher Compacts, Parent Newsletters, Informing and Training Parents, District Advisory Council Meeting, Parent Library, Teacher Lending, Drug and Alcohol Awareness Resource Library, Baldrige '100 Nights of Together Time', Kindergarten Registration/Screening, Birth to Six Activities, Title I Volunteers, Proficiency/Achievement Materials, Pre-School Transitional Meeting with Head Start Parents, Parent Surveys, Collaboration of agencies and Funding, EMIS Student Participation Data, District Summer School Letters, School Improvement Letters and District Improvement requirements for parent letters. Also discussed Title I Parent Involvement Financial Report, Parent Involvement Proposals for 2021-22, Suggestions/concerns/discussion for 2021-2022, Updated Reporting Items, and Testing Requirements.
