The board conducted a public hearing regarding a special use permit request by Rocksolid Hardscapes LLC to expand an existing RV park. Discussions focused on the proposed increase in site capacity and the potential impacts on the surrounding community. Neighbors raised significant concerns regarding the sustainability of local well water resources and the ability of the narrow, existing infrastructure on Huntington Trail to accommodate increased heavy vehicle traffic. Proponents of the project emphasized the economic benefits for the labor force involved in area utility and industrial projects. The board reviewed recommended conditions for approval, including requirements for a site development plan and improved internal road construction standards.
