Common Council Study Session
The council discussed an agreement with Extra Space Management for fence installation at Oak White Oaks Park, and authorized the city of Syracuse to adapt a negative declaration for the SEQR act related to the tick and deer management program. Agreements with the USDA for wildlife management and Marshmallow Ranch for meat processing services related to the deer management program were reviewed. An amendment to the agreement with QPK Design to close out handover fountain was discussed, along with a plan for fountain maintenance. The council also discussed a bond ordinance for a new ice chiller replacement project at Meechum, and authorized payment to George Pro Sound Company for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Additionally, the installation of additional cops cameras in downtown Syracuse, an inter municipal agreement with the Syracuse City School District to supply school resource officers, and the allocation of funds for neighborhood watch groups were reviewed.
