The Chattooga County Board of Education announced that the millage rate will be set at a meeting. The notice includes the current year's tax digest and levy, along with a five-year history.

The board reviewed and approved the FY'26 Budget and the Financial Statement for May 31, 2025. The board approved participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025-2026 school year. Additionally, the agenda was amended to include consideration of an extension of the Superintendent's contract.

Additionally, the board discussed the summer feeding program and a request for GaDOE assistance in developing a new five-year local facilities plan. There was also a discussion regarding a possible lighting upgrade at Mitchell Field and athletic events attendance procedures.
