This Accessibility Action Plan for the City of Port Coquitlam outlines a comprehensive strategy to identify, prevent, and remove barriers to accessibility, fostering a more inclusive community for all residents. Developed in accordance with the Accessible British Columbia Act, the plan is structured around five key focus areas: Service Delivery, Built Environment, Transportation, Employment, and Information & Communications. The overarching goal is to ensure full participation in society by persons with disabilities, promote inclusion, and cultivate a positive and respectful community through continuous improvements in city spaces, services, programs, and operations.

This document outlines the 2025-2029 Financial Plan Bylaw for the City of Port Coquitlam, detailing proposed funding sources and expenditures. It establishes objectives and policies for revenue generation, property tax distribution, and permissive exemptions. Key priorities include diversifying revenue streams to reduce reliance on property taxes, ensuring property tax stability and predictability, and optimizing charitable and not-for-profit services through consistent application of permissive tax exemptions.

The meeting included greetings from the Quick whitlamation First Nation, and the oath of office for the mayor and council members. Special guests were acknowledged, including Chief Ed Hall from the Coquitlam First Nation, freedom of the city recipients, school trustees elect, and The Honorable Mike Farnworth. Each of the counselors provided their inaugural remarks, with thanks extended to family, supporters, city staff, and residents.

The Official Community Plan for the City of Port Coquitlam provides a vision for future growth and development, integrating land use, economy, environment, transportation, community facilities, and services into a comprehensive strategy. The plan aims to foster a happy, vibrant, safe community with engaged residents and thriving businesses, supported by sustainable resources and services. Key objectives focus on growth management, sustainability, housing and neighbourhoods, economic development, environmental protection, parks, transportation efficiency, urban design, community well-being, and efficient utility provision.
