The Maring County Community Services provides an overview of its mission to connect residents with resources that improve lives, foster independence, and strengthen the community. The resolution focuses on amending fee schedules for construction permits, establishing a minimum permit fee of $430.00 for new residential and commercial projects. It includes details on state of Florida surcharges, penalties for working without a permit, and construction permit fees for residential and commercial projects. The resolution also covers administrative and other fees, a refund policy, and the effective date of the changes.

The resolution authorizes a temporary reduction in certain fees and charges for permit applications, associated processes, and activities related thereto. It addresses the requirement for local governments to rebate and reduce fees when carry forwards exceed the four-year average of their operating budget. Building Permit, Inspection and Plan Review fees will be reduced by forty percent for one year. Administrative and other fees will remain at the current schedule with no discount.

The resolution authorizes the extension of a temporary reduction in certain fees and charges for permit applications and related activities. It includes reducing Building Permit, Inspection, and Plan Review fees by a total of Forty Percent (40%) and also reducing the square footage cost on any building related fee to zero (0) dollars for an additional one (1) year. The resolution states that the County shall continue to discount minimum fees, required deposits, and construction permit fees. Administrative and all other fees will remain at the current schedule with no discount. Applicants may request one 6-month extension of a building permit subject to the reduced square footage and Forty Percent (40%) fee reduction.
