Key areas of focus include expanding housing opportunities, integrating supportive services, and improving neighborhood safety. Targeted outcomes include providing affordable housing, enhancing public services for low-income residents, improving community facilities and infrastructure, expanding economic and business opportunities, and supporting activities through planning and administration. The plan prioritizes assisting individual households, particularly in the Urban Core, and addresses the needs of various populations, including those experiencing homelessness, youth, seniors, and families.

The North Las Vegas Library District's 2022 Strategic Plan focuses on providing educational resources to support students, grow careers, and enrich lives within the diverse community. The plan emphasizes childhood literacy (birth to age 8) and workforce readiness to revitalize the community and promote life success. Key strategic areas include service strategies (school readiness, college readiness, and work readiness), organizational strategies (growth tools and innovation tools), and institutional strategies (city alignment, facilities development, and community engagement). The plan outlines specific initiatives with measurable outcomes, including improved literacy rates, increased college enrollment, workforce development, staff development, and community engagement. The plan utilizes a data-driven approach, a 3-5 year planning horizon, and a framework that incorporates risk and innovation models, as well as an idea-to-implementation process for new services.

The North Las Vegas City Council meeting included an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. A video presentation showcased the Care Court program, highlighting its progress and positive impact on participants. Updates were provided on the Care Court program, including grant applications, a warrant quashing event, and the development of a mentorship program for veterans. Discussions also covered the re-establishment of a community service program and the deployment of a button in the pre-book program to identify potential Care Court participants. The council members also discussed the positive impact of the program and the challenges faced.
