This Home-School Partnership Plan is a collaborative agreement between Garrison Middle School families, students, and staff, designed to ensure all students achieve Targeted Promise Standards 6-8. The plan focuses on three core areas: ensuring all students read at grade level by the end of 8th grade, making all students algebra-ready by the end of 8th grade, and fostering social-emotional development through positive relationships. It outlines specific actions for families at home, strategies for staff to support family capacity, and commitments from students to reach proficiency in identified standards.

This document outlines the 21st Century Promise Standards for Walla Walla Public Schools, designed for grades TK-12. Developed in May 2024, these standards ensure consistent access to foundational skills and knowledge across all schools, preparing students to be competent in areas such as self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, critical thinking, productivity, communication, leadership, and information literacy. The overarching goal is to develop Washington's most sought-after graduates by ensuring all students progress with a robust skill and knowledge base.

The committee held a brainstorming session focused on the purpose and objectives of the group, emphasizing advocacy for underrepresented students, fostering inclusivity, and promoting social justice. Discussions explored potential future initiatives, including mentorship programs, student engagement strategies, data analysis of discipline and attendance, and cultural competency assessments. Reports were provided on professional development opportunities, Latino student leadership conferences, parenting classes, and successful grant funding for bilingual teacher education scholarships.
