The board discussed a recommendation from the Facilities Committee regarding the relocation of the Beaufort area Early Voting Center from the TCL Beaufort Mather campus to the Voter Registration and Elections office.

The committee focused on several strategic initiatives for upcoming elections, including planning for early voting at the John Galt Headquarters, tracking capital improvement projects for 2026 and 2027, and documenting voting site improvements and obstacle removal. Further agenda items included developing an action plan for the Technical College of the Low Country as an early voting center, covering facility flow, equipment layout, curbside station plans, and emergency contact lists. The meeting also addressed staffing for the early voting period, public outreach strategies for notifying voters of precinct changes, and the development of a disaster-recovery plan.

The board meeting agenda included committee reports from the Budget/Finance, Facilities, Legislative Affairs, Reprecincting, and Rules committees. Key objectives include updating the Stormwater Master Plan, implementing a 5-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) extending through FY2024, enhancing operations and maintenance (O&M) services, and ensuring compliance with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements. The plan emphasizes protecting water quality, acquiring and managing critical lands for conservation and passive parks, and addressing growth impacts through targeted water quality retrofit projects, such as the Okatie West initiative.
