This strategic plan, developed through a series of meetings, outlines a three-year action plan beginning July 1, 2025. It is structured around the core principles of 'embrace, engage, educate' and focuses on key areas including student and staff support, communication, technology and artificial intelligence, and facilities. The plan aims to set clear aspirations and measurable results, with initiatives to empower staff and families, streamline communication through a single platform, ensure equitable access to and education on technology, and modernize school facilities to create optimal learning environments. The final plan will be presented to the Board of Education for approval.

The strategic planning meeting for Egg Harbor Township School District reviews the achievements of its past three-year plan, which focused on providing social-emotional support, enhancing school climate and culture through innovative learning opportunities, and improving student achievement using data-driven approaches. The district, committed to its mission to embrace, engage, and educate students and families, is now initiating a new three-year plan. Key areas for future focus, identified through stakeholder feedback, include addressing challenges related to district size and growth, student behavior, communication, facility needs, comprehensive student and staff support, and curriculum and educational innovation.

The meeting began with a welcome and the reading of the open public meeting statement, followed by a roll call and a flag salute, along with a moment of silence for Mr. John Dilks and Miss Brandy Renoso. The superintendent reported on American Education Week, early college signings, and literacy challenges. There was a focus on new district learning goals, professional development, and data collection. The esports program was recognized as the garden state fall league state champion, and the girls' high school soccer team was celebrated as Cape Atlantic League champions. Updates were provided on middle school sports and the unified program. The Wings program theme of 'grateful eagles giving heart' was highlighted, along with various school events. The annual information night was announced for December 4th. The fall universal screening process was discussed, focusing on student achievement and strategic plan goals.

The strategic plan for Egg Harbor Township School District is built upon three core goals: "Embrace: Foster Relationships," "Engage: Climate and Culture," and "Educate: Progress + Growth = Achievement." The plan aims to empower staff and families to develop strong behavioral, life, and mental health skills to support students, strengthen staff capacity, and improve transitions across grade levels. It also seeks to enhance communication through a unified platform, foster a positive school climate, and expand engagement opportunities for the entire school community. Additionally, the plan focuses on improving student achievement by cultivating digital citizenship, expanding equitable access to modern technologies, modernizing facilities, and utilizing data-driven, collaborative approaches to meet individual student needs.

The budget development meeting for the 2025-2026 school year included discussions on maintaining the size of the preschool program, renovating space at the Davenport complex for additional preschool classrooms, and revamping the per process to improve supports for students and teachers. Budget highlights included adding permanent playground equipment to Bargaintown School and a secretary to the Bargaintown location. The Swift School Complex discussed the move of MD program students to their home school, the use of the Hagerty program for ELA, and the success of the Renaissance program. The Davenport School Complex highlighted student achievement, new technology, social and emotional learning initiatives, Soore clubs and activities, the Davenport honors choir, steam week, building beautification and upgrades, family and community partnerships, and staff support. The Dr. Joan D. Miller School highlighted the win period, steam classes, and Renaissance, with budget requests for a lockdown notification system and whiteboard tables. Alder Avenue Middle School discussed upgrades to the LGI, rise Vision equipped TVs, upgrades to the gymnasium, the Outdoor Classroom, and celebrations with student achievement. Fernwood Avenue Middle School discussed Focus 40 time, Effective School Solutions, and the eal Achievers program, with budget highlights including new carpeting in the auditorium and library. Egg Harbor Township High School discussed beautification efforts, the Esports Arena, a new social emotional program, auditorium upgrades, technology additions, and requests for the completion of the greenhouse, new cafeteria stanions and tables, ID scanners, and the removal of old lockers. The athletic department discussed updating facilities and replacing outdated equipment. Eagle Academy highlighted the school economy, work program, community partnerships, and budget highlights including after school clubs, music Fridays, and sharing teachers with the high school.
