The meeting began with a welcome and the reading of the open public meeting statement, followed by a roll call and a flag salute, along with a moment of silence for Mr. John Dilks and Miss Brandy Renoso. The superintendent reported on American Education Week, early college signings, and literacy challenges. There was a focus on new district learning goals, professional development, and data collection. The esports program was recognized as the garden state fall league state champion, and the girls' high school soccer team was celebrated as Cape Atlantic League champions. Updates were provided on middle school sports and the unified program. The Wings program theme of 'grateful eagles giving heart' was highlighted, along with various school events. The Davenport School Complex highlighted student achievement, new technology, social and emotional learning initiatives, Soore clubs and activities, the Davenport honors choir, steam week, building beautification and upgrades, family and community partnerships, and staff support. The Dr. Joan D. Miller School highlighted the win period, steam classes, and Renaissance, with budget requests for a lockdown notification system and whiteboard tables. Alder Avenue Middle School discussed upgrades to the LGI, rise Vision equipped TVs, upgrades to the gymnasium, the Outdoor Classroom, and celebrations with student achievement. Fernwood Avenue Middle School discussed Focus 40 time, Effective School Solutions, and the eal Achievers program, with budget highlights including new carpeting in the auditorium and library. Egg Harbor Township High School discussed beautification efforts, the Esports Arena, a new social emotional program, auditorium upgrades, technology additions, and requests for the completion of the greenhouse, new cafeteria stanions and tables, ID scanners, and the removal of old lockers. The athletic department discussed updating facilities and replacing outdated equipment. Eagle Academy highlighted the school economy, work program, community partnerships, and budget highlights including after school clubs, music Fridays, and sharing teachers with the high school.
