The board conducted a budget workshop covering tax rates, revenue, expenses, and compensation plans for the upcoming fiscal year. Discussions included updates to board policy regarding superintendent contract nonrenewal, revisions to the student code of conduct, and a review of board operating procedures. The meeting featured recognitions for student performers, reports on district improvement plans, the Head Start program, and fine arts department metrics. Additionally, the board approved a school district teaching permit, appointed delegates for the TASB assembly, and conducted a public hearing for the Every Student Succeeds Act application.

The Board of Trustees held a meeting where they installed newly elected members and appointed new Board officers. The agenda included reports on STEM campus updates and recognitions for student achievements in athletics and nursing. The Board approved budget amendments, financial reports, the Public Information Act calendar, and school calendars. The Board approved a group medical insurance proposal, selecting Blue Cross Blue Shield for the 2026-2027 plan year. Additionally, the Board approved the donation of bronze statues to Abilene Heritage Square and authorized the renaming of Bowie Elementary School and Purcell Elementary School to STEM Academies. Personnel actions were taken, including the approval of professional employment contracts and a one-time payment for undesignated teachers.
