Graduate program adjustments involved the deactivation of a music education certification program, modifications to the School Library Media Certificate and Special Education Ed.S. requirements, the addition of a final exam course for Reading Instruction, and updates to the M.A. in Criminology track. Additionally, the senate approved modifications to academic policies regarding promotion, tenure, and faculty evaluations, as well as changes to graduate academic standing procedures.

Additionally, revisions to the Parking Code were endorsed, an extension of the Information Technology Strategic Plan for 2002-2007 through the 2009-2010 academic year was approved, and the University System of Georgia Faculty Council Bylaws were endorsed.

The committee focused on revising and reformatting Section 2 of the UWG Institutional Procedures and reviewing corresponding Faculty Handbook sections. Committee members were assigned specific policies for review and potential revision. Additionally, the committee evaluated a new Hardship Withdrawal Policy for students to ensure consistency with existing policies and reviewed institutional policies regarding faculty leave, compensation, discipline, and grievance procedures brought forth by the Presidential Task Force.
