The planning board is requested to consider taking action on various text Amendments of chapter 157 of the unified development ordinance. The purpose of the unified development ordinance, pros and cons of the ordinance, proposed zoning text Amendment and recommendations, and landscaping and buffering section were discussed. The new unified development ordinance is a Consolidated document of all that contains the city's land use and development requirements. Several text amendments were discussed, including those related to the boards, zoning permits, mixed use zoning District parking standards, flood plain and floodway districts, table of permissible uses, residential uses, electronic gaming operations, accessory uses and structures, performance bonds, subdivision standards, signage, and street yard buffer.
The special meeting was called to address a development related to Project UFO (Consolidated metov). The council was asked to open a public hearing and continue it until the regular scheduled meeting on March 7th.
