The board met to conduct candidate selection for the superintendent search by ranking applicants and planning the interview notification process. Discussions were held to finalize interview questions, with a focus on ensuring questions align with established board criteria. Additionally, the board reviewed an interview process presentation which provided guidance on maintaining consistency throughout the first round of candidate interviews and preparing for the final selection stages.

The Board received a presentation regarding the Ingham Intermediate School District Special Education Bond proposal for the upcoming ballot. The meeting included a Student Board Representative report covering a student walkout, athletics, and robotics. Several student trip requests were approved, including cheerleading camp, a gymnastics bonding trip, a girls' tennis tournament, and the HOSA State Leadership Conference. The Board also approved long-term student suspensions. Financial approvals included the purchase of furniture for Sycamore, an amplification system for Dimondale Elementary, an exterior door project, contractor recommendations for the transportation building, and technology equipment for Washington Woods. Additionally, the Board approved three new policies regarding school visitors, school safety, and elections in facilities.

The Board conducted interviews for the superintendent search, featuring candidates Christopher Ming, Hal Heard III, and Adel D'Orio. Public comment was received regarding the qualifications of Adel D'Orio. Following the interviews, the Board evaluated all six candidates and selected Adel D'Orio and Hal Heard III as the final two candidates to move forward for further consideration, which will include district tours and final interviews.

The committee meeting featured a bond partner update regarding the Transportation Building project and cabling equipment. The Board entered a closed session to discuss bargaining unit contract negotiations. Other topics included an HR update on recruitment efforts, a review of the monthly financial packet, and a presentation on potential new policies regarding polling and elections in district facilities. The Capital Improvements Committee reported on the bond budget status and potential storage and restroom building projects. Additionally, the Board discussed disciplinary data review, upcoming census efforts, overnight student trip requests, and final disciplinary determinations for students. The meeting concluded with reports from the Superintendent and the Board President on upcoming celebratory events.

The board conducted final interviews for the Superintendent search, featuring presentations from two candidates. Following a recess to review feedback and share reference check results, the board members were polled to select a candidate. A motion was subsequently passed to enter into contract negotiations with the chosen candidate for the position of Superintendent.
