The Community Climate Resilience Framework for Englewood is designed to enhance the community's ability to anticipate, prepare for, withstand, and recover from climate change impacts, ensuring resilience against short-term shocks and long-term stressors. It addresses key climate challenges such as heat/drought, wildfire smoke/air quality, and extreme weather events through six vulnerability focus areas: Transportation & Mobility, Ecosystem Protection, Emergency Preparedness & Community Safety, Health & Wellbeing, Equitable Financial Resilience, and Water Resource Management. A central principle is to address the disproportionate impact of climate change on disadvantaged communities. The framework aims to position Englewood for future thriving, reduce recovery costs, and will inform the city's upcoming strategic planning.

The City Council approved the First Amendment to the State of Colorado Grant Agreement between the Colorado Department of Human Services, Behavioral Health Administration, and the City of Englewood for the benefit and use of the Englewood Police Department. The amendment reallocates grant funds to continue the effective operation of the Program. The total award amount of the grant remains unchanged.
