The Commission held a public hearing to discuss a request for an ordinance amendment involving the comprehensive plan future land use map, specifically regarding the rezoning of approximately 7.2 acres from general commercial to urban residential. The request also included changing the official zoning map to multi-family. Discussion centered on the compatibility of this proposed residential land use with the existing commercial designation, traffic flow impacts, drainage requirements, and the City's historical initiative to preserve commercial sites along the corridor.
