The City Council convened and immediately moved to enter into an executive session for discussions regarding real estate and personnel matters.

The meeting included discussion on Keller Williams contract extension, with a focus on the process of estimating land costs and the inclusion of comparable property analysis in the agreement. There was also an update on the SOP, including the implementation of DocuSign for contract signing and the creation of a shared drive. The board discussed the type of information they want to get from GICC and economic development updates.

The meeting addressed concerns regarding the timeliness of budget information provided to council members and the public's access to budget documents. A motion was made to reschedule the budget meeting to allow more time for review and public input. Discussions included the need to split up the agenda items across multiple days to ensure thorough consideration, and the importance of transparency and community feedback in the budget process. The council agreed to postpone the budget hearings and resume on April 16th, with a commitment to reorganizing the schedule to balance workload and discussion topics.

The Mayor and Council discussed the budget, focusing on public safety, administrative, and operating aspects. Discussions included the role of the emergency manager, cancer policy insurance, subscriptions and publications for the fire marshal, and the replacement of three vehicles. They also addressed vacancies in the fire department, overtime salary, and the need for protective clothing and firefighting supplies. Additional topics included communication equipment for defibrillators and potential changes due to the 5G network.

The meeting included a motion to exit the executive session and enter into regular sessions, followed by the approval of the executive session minutes. There was a motion to authorize the body chair to approve the Second Amendment to the real property purchase and sales agreement.
