The Commission on Fire Prevention and Control Meeting Minutes
The commission reviewed and approved the staff report covering two months. Unfinished business included updates on the DESPP budget, staffing, and administrative facilities, as well as status reports from the education, training, certification, and FILO committees. The commission also discussed action points related to standards, continuing development, and strategic planning. New business topics featured a presentation on the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education Initiative, election nominations, the recruitment and retention grant program, and the transition of the State Fire Administrator. Departmental reports from the DESPP FEIU, DEEP Forestry, and DAS OSFM were also provided.
