The council meeting addressed departmental reports from the Chief of Police, City Secretary, and Public Works Director. Discussions included the progress of reconstruction on West Heard and East Heard streets, with a portion of the cost matched for the TCDP project using GCDC funds. The council reviewed the 07-08 audit from John A. Blakeway, CPA, which met all requirements, and set budget workshop dates for July 28 and August 4, 2008. The council also discussed the downtown project and grant, and the Fairlane Drainage project.
