The council meeting included delegations from TransLink regarding the structural condition and repair planning of the Westham Island Bridge, and from Tourism Delta regarding local visitor economy study results. The council finalized the adoption of several zoning bylaws and provided first, second, and third readings for a noise control bylaw amendment. Administrative reports covered the 2025 highlights and 2026 outlook, the submission of UBCM resolutions concerning port community tax fairness and government responsibilities, an increase to a heritage conservation grant for an exterior lift, and a requested traffic safety review near Holly Elementary. Additionally, the council directed staff to engage with the Delta Heritage Society regarding heritage inventories and to review correspondence concerning a municipal judicial review in View Royal.
