The board received updates on the Blight Elimination Grant and reviewed the release of an RFP for architectural services in Shaftsburg, which was subsequently approved. The board also authorized a change request and an addendum regarding First Contracting LLC, and awarded a consulting agreement to FLB Collective LLC. Furthermore, the board approved an RFP for the demolition of 800 W Main St. Phase 2 and adopted recommendations for the Rental Rehab Program Guidelines.

The board meeting focuses on several administrative and project-related tasks, including reviewing the status of the construction project, reviewing and authorizing change orders and contractor payment recommendations, and evaluating the project schedule. Additionally, the agenda covers the receipt of the treasurer's report, discussion of invoices paid and drain orders signed, and provides an opportunity for public comment.

The board meeting will address the election of a secretary, review of the maintenance plan, and consideration of a governance resolution alongside updates to the soil erosion and sedimentation control (SESC) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) resolutions. Additionally, the agenda includes a review of the treasurer's report, processing of invoices and drain orders, and discussion of any other pertinent business.

The committee reviewed the monthly report from the Community Development Director. Actions were taken to advance the approval of an Interlocal Agreement for the use of DDA Tax Increment Revenues regarding the Jaedyn's Way Brownfield Redevelopment Project, as well as the approval of Remonumentation Peer Review Group members and associated contracts. Additionally, the committee engaged in a discussion concerning a sample blight ordinance and a proposed interlocal agreement.

The committee discussed the creation of a part-time pretrial services specialist position, resulting in a motion to refer the matter to the Board of Commissioners for consideration.
