Eden Prairie Planning Commission Planning Commission Meeting
The commission reviewed a variance request for a property located at 6633 Harland Drive. The applicant requested to expand an existing deck and add stairs to provide a second point of egress for safety, which would encroach into the required front yard setback. The commission discussed the practical difficulties of the property, including its unique three-sided lot configuration and utility easements, and determined that the proposal was reasonable and in harmony with the neighborhood character. The variance was approved following a public hearing.
