Additionally, the Council received updates on the Swan Meadows infrastructure project and reviewed maintenance requirements for recreational fields, parks, and sidewalk accessibility.

The Main Street report covered Earth Day preparations, the Taste of Aberdeen event results, and Chamber of Commerce initiatives. Other business included calendar planning, website and advertising strategies, and an extensive review of upcoming Aberdeen 250 anniversary events, including a 5K run and various cultural activities. Additionally, the commission approved the formation of a Discover Aberdeen subcommittee and funding for a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. The discussion also addressed city employment vacancies, partnership strategies, a 501(c)(3) designation pursuit, pickleball tournament updates, local infrastructure and safety concerns, and the implementation of a new municipal alert text platform.
