The council meeting included discussions and decisions on various topics. Approval of entering into a development agreement with Parson's Investments Ltd. to allow for a new multiple unit dwelling or dwellings, containing more than 10 units, on a portion of the property identified as PID#70245931, and located in the Community of Milton.
The meeting addressed an accident report from Queens Place Emera Centre involving an employee slipping on ice, emphasizing the importance of proper PPE. Tool box meeting topics and a review of topics from 2020-2022 were discussed. Scheduled training courses include First Aid, Confined Spaces, and Defensive Driving. A new Safe Work Practice for the Safe Handling of Biohazardous Medical Waste was presented and adopted. Additionally, a presentation was given on the new Safety Observation Program, highlighting the importance of a positive safety culture.
