The Board received and filed an annual actuarial report, which included an assessment of the plan's funding status, contribution requirements, and the adoption of new mortality tables. The Treasurer's Report was reviewed, covering current market conditions, global equity performance, and investment scenarios related to geopolitical conflicts. Additionally, the Board authorized the Finance Director to request an actuarial calculation for a benefit proposal and directed the investment consultant to arrange a meeting with a firm due to concerns about underperforming investments, while also evaluating potential alternatives for portfolio management. Bills for investment management services were approved for payment.

The committee discussed preparations for Clean Up Day, including permit acquisition, trash pickup arrangements, and promotional strategies. Approval was granted for attendance at a Keep Michigan Beautiful luncheon. Financial business included the payment of membership dues, a budget transfer, and a review of the 2026 budget allocations for various committee programs. The committee also discussed maintenance of Schoenherr and Mound islands, including tree replacement and contract renewal, as well as updates on the status of hanging baskets and welcome sign projects.
