City Commission Meeting
The City Commission held a meeting to address several key development and operational items. The Commission established a reinvestment housing incentive district and adopted Ordinance 4292. Additionally, the members approved the development plan and agreement for the Cleveland Villas phase two project and accepted the associated public easements. The meeting included discussions on the status of a local pavilion project grant, efforts to secure funding through the Kansas water office, and updates regarding police department training and participation in community events. Furthermore, the Commission discussed the prioritization of property tax dollar usage for infrastructure needs and reviewed the remediation status of local ball diamonds, which is currently subject to an EPA-mandated environmental cleanup process.
