This Campus Improvement Plan for Louise Elementary School outlines strategies to enhance academic achievement for all students by developing effective instruction, establishing a robust curricular framework, and aiming to exceed state assessment averages. The Louise ISD Board of Trustees held a regular meeting to discuss several key items. The superintendent provided updates on board training and a possible bond proposal for a new cafeteria. Reports were also given by the Assistant Superintendent/Business Manager, Principals, and Athletic Director. The board considered and took action on a contract with Ken Shanks for architect services for a new bus barn, declaring Bus 8 as surplus equipment, purchasing IXL software for the Secondary, a contract with Capturing Kids Hearts for professional development, and agreements with Johnnie R. Gresham Operating, INC. and Schmidt and Sons for construction and land development related to the new bus barn and Louise ISD property. The board also went into a closed meeting to discuss legal matters and personnel issues before adjourning.

The meeting included discussions and actions on various financial and operational matters. Budget amendments were approved, and the 2025-2026 academic calendar was amended to accommodate the rescheduled Wharton County Fair Day. A resolution was passed to compensate employees for a weather-related school cancellation. Purchases were approved for a van, a field tarp for the band, Chromebooks, server components, tree trimming services, interior painting for the High School and Junior High, floor tile replacement at the High School, IXL software for the Elementary, and HVAC units for the junior high/visitor locker room and old administrative offices. Additionally, the board approved the employment of an agriculture teacher and a district assistant principal for the 2025-2026 school year, each on a one-year probationary contract.

The Louise ISD Prekindergarten Family Engagement Plan outlines strategies to foster collaboration between families and the school. The plan focuses on six key areas: facilitating family-to-family support through various events and communication channels; establishing a network of community resources to extend learning opportunities; increasing family participation in decision-making processes; equipping families with tools to enhance and extend learning at home; providing ongoing professional development for educators on culturally responsive practices and assessment methods; and evaluating family engagement efforts for continuous improvement. The plan also includes transition activities to ease the transition to kindergarten and emphasizes linguistically and culturally inclusive practices.

Louise ISD's Math Instructional Framework focuses on providing rigorous mathematics instruction to all students, emphasizing conceptual mastery, procedural skills, fluency, and real-world applications. It ensures teachers have high-quality instructional materials and engage students' preconceptions to build factual knowledge and metacognitive abilities. The framework promotes equitable instruction, productive problem-solving, and alignment with TEKS standards, supported by school board members, administration, interventionists, teachers, support staff, students, parents/guardians, and community members.
