Hancock County Business Advisory Council Meeting Minutes
The Hancock County Business Advisory Council reviewed the Hancock County BAC Postsecondary and Career Readiness (PaCE) map, discussing how various districts align their activities with the map. A mock interview event held at the Old Millstream Building for 11th graders was reviewed, with businesses expressing positive feedback. The council discussed organizing an all-county Mock Interview. Eric Proctor proposed creating a PaCE map for businesses to overlay with the existing PaCE map. The Teacher Summer Expo was announced to have two sessions, one in June offering graduate credit and another in August offering a stipend. The council suggested focusing on building a business version of the PaCE map, assisting new employees or students in career advancement, and teaching students how to be ambassadors for their employers.
