The Pleasantville Village Board of Trustees held a regular meeting to discuss several resolutions. These included approving minutes from a previous meeting, authorizing the Village Administrator to sign a Prisoner Transportation Agreement with Westchester County, and authorizing Change Order #1 for the Pleasantville Village Estates Sidewalk, Curb and Guiderail Improvement project. The board also considered accepting a new part-time Recreation Assistant, setting a public hearing for a local law regarding real property tax exemptions for volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers, and approving the promotion of Brent Paulus to Motor Equipment Operator - Specialist. Budget amendments for FYE 2026 and the payment of claims were also approved. Additionally, the board considered change orders for the Village Pool Reconstruction Project, accepted the resignation of Linda Snyder as Crossing Guard, authorized the assignment of PO Jonathan Garcia to the Detective Division, and considered authorizing the Village Court Clerk to apply for funding from the Justice Court Assistance Program.

The meeting included a quarterly presentation by the Police Chief, a discussion on waiving the 30-day requirement for a liquor license application for La Riviera, and authorizing the Village Administrator to sign a food service establishment permit application. The board also discussed payment of claims for FYE 2025 and 2026, scheduling a public hearing for a Cable and Franchise Renewal Agreement with Verizon New York Inc, and accepting the resignation of Sharon Sutherland. Additionally, the board considered new hires for the Recreation Leader positions, authorized an out-of-state conference request for police lieutenants, and considered authorizing the Village Administrator to sign an IMA with Westchester County for a Mutual Aid and Rapid Response Plan for Police Departments.

Additionally, they considered authorizing the Mayor or Village Administrator to execute a license agreement with the Jacob Burns Film Center for a public art mural, and authorizing the Village Administrator to sign a retainer agreement with Keane & Bean, P.C. for legal services. The board also considered a block party and road closure request for Willis Place and approved the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on July 11, 2025.

The Pleasantville Village Board of Trustees Special meeting included discussion and resolutions regarding the approval of payment of claims for FYE 2026, authorizing the Village Administrator to sign a sponsorship agreement with Wonder for the 2025 Pleasantville Music Festival, providing free Pleasantville Music Festival tickets for caregivers of individuals with disabilities, authorizing no parking signs in the Hopper Street Parking lot for the Pleasantville Music Festival on July 12, 2025, and authorizing discounted Pleasantville Music Festival tickets for advertising and social media sponsors.

Additionally, the board addressed personnel matters, including title changes and promotions within the Parks Department, and authorized road closures for events like the Break the Hold Foundation Walk and the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department parade. They also discussed and approved corrections to previous resolutions and the closure of capital accounts.
