Borough Council Of Sewickley Heights Regular Meeting
The council received a presentation from the Fire Chief regarding call statistics, training, and recruitment efforts. Action was taken to award contracts for the 2026 Road Program, including base bids for road work and microsurfacing. The council also approved a contract for a major landslide repair on Backbone Road funded by a grant, as well as approvals for a nature center sewer connection, bridge guiderail repairs, police vehicle equipment upgrades, and the purchase of equipment for the Department of Parks and Public Works. Additional approvals included a holding tank agreement, the authorization of a grant application for a park road improvement project, a request for a road safety audit of the Route 65 corridor, and an amendment to the General Fee Schedule regarding sewage system repair escrows. Furthermore, the council made several appointments to municipal boards and commissions and approved multiple Certificates of Appropriateness for historical project reviews.
