Lake County Conservation Element 2026-2050
This Conservation Element for Lake County provides goals, objectives, and policies to preserve, manage, and enhance the county's natural resources, with a planning horizon extending to 2050. It focuses on four broad categories: Air, Water (groundwater, surface water, springsheds, floodplains, wetlands), Land (ecological significance, habitat and wildlife, natural uplands, soil conservation, mining, silviculture, land acquisition), and Human Systems (green building, energy conservation, noise and light pollution, historical and archaeological resources). The overarching aim is to protect and improve the quantity, quality, and function of the natural environment for current and future generations.
