City Parks representatives have agreed that the resurfacing project is officially happening, which was met with gratitude from the delegation. The discussion also emphasized the importance of establishing communication channels between skate park users and Parks representatives for ongoing maintenance. Furthermore, the delegation initiated conversations regarding future development of covered skate park facilities to accommodate use during the 189 rainy days experienced annually, citing examples from Poco and Port Moody. Committee members discussed the value of covered, multi-use spaces for youth activities and creation, contrasting them with unorganized activity in parking garages during inclement weather.

The meeting focused on presenting a new pilot project regarding development security servicing costs, which proposes introducing Surety Bonds as an alternative to current methods like cash, check, or letters of credit. Key discussion points included comparing the three security tools, detailing the benefits for developers, such as reduced working capital and lower carrying costs, and outlining the benefits for the City, such as becoming more business-friendly and encouraging housing development. The committee also addressed risks, noting that while defaults are historically rare, the Surety Bond program will initially be restricted to on-site subdivision work, only involving developers with prior successful project delivery experience in the region, and that an administrative fee will be assessed to cover city costs. There was discussion regarding the criteria for developer qualification under the pilot program.

This Transit Future Action Plan outlines strategies to make transit the preferred choice for residents and visitors in the Central Fraser Valley by upholding community goals and strengthening the link between transportation and land-use for sustainable growth. The plan focuses on enhancing service quality, expanding coverage in Abbotsford and Mission through new routes and improved frequencies, and making significant investments in infrastructure such as RapidBus stations and transit priority measures. It also prioritizes technological advancements like electronic fare systems and on-demand services, transitioning to a low-carbon fleet, fostering equity and inclusion in planning, and engaging with Indigenous communities to meet evolving transportation needs.

The Abbotsforward 2050 Official Community Plan (OCP) is a formal document adopted to accommodate and shape Abbotsford's growth in the coming decades until 2050. It serves as the City's key planning tool, building upon the 2016 plan and incorporating updated zoning regulations to address current challenges and future opportunities. The plan aims to guide the city's development and ensure its future prosperity.
