Nebraska State Management Plan
The strategic plan outlines the activities and responsibilities of various agencies, groups, and individuals involved in water quality protection, pesticide education, and pesticide regulation in Nebraska. It focuses on protecting water resources from pesticide contamination by merging the process for identifying and evaluating pesticides in ground water with the state's authorities and responsibilities for protecting all water resources, including surface water. The plan aims to prevent contamination of water resources that would cause unreasonable risks to human health and the environment resulting from the normal, registered use of pesticides by taking appropriate actions where such risks may occur.

The plan emphasizes leveraging resources from UNL Extension, NRD, NRCS, and Agribusiness to address these areas, setting goals, timelines, and resource requirements for each eco-region and focus area.
